Mo Ferry

Salam. My name is Maureen “Mo” Ferry (a.k.a the white girl in all the pics) and I have had the blessing of working with the group this week. I have been busy learning Arabic and planning our schedule around the Redskins game.

The song that has been in my head this week is “Give Us Clean Hands,” taken from Psalm 24. Part of the song goes:

“Oh God let us be a generation that seeks, seeks Your face, O God of Jacob.”

As I walk around the streets of New Orleans with the group, I pray that we could be and become a generation that is focused on and humble to God’s will (something we have been talking about during Bible study).

Today, the group finished gutting a house and walked around the neighborhood it was in and prayed for people. Tomorrow we will tour some of the areas of highest devastation and the French Quarter. Tomorrow night we will watch the Redskins win, insha’allah.
