Six months ago I saw the destruction Katrina caused and the lives it destroyed. This week I saw the same destruction, barely touched or cleaned up. People are still homeless, homes are still abandoned, and faith still needs strengthening. We met many people this week that have lost their homes and everything in them, they’ve lost friends, family, jobs, and now they live in trailers or with other family members still trying to rebuild their lives almost one year since the hurricane. The people here truly need prayers.

Today is our last day here and (even though I miss everyone back home) I’m not ready to go home yet. There are so many people here that still need help, need prayers and need people to listen to them. They need to see Christ through other Christians and that is what we were here to do this week. We spread Christianity through our actions. I am so thankful God sent me to New Orleans again, especially with this amazing group of people.
