ATL: Ask the Lord. This concept was totally new to me. ATL is when you sit and seriously pray until GOd sends you some sort of message or vision about where , what, and who you would be serving through the ministry.
At first, I was thinking I would pray like everyone else; but I would just pick a group based on what I wanted to do that day.
Thank God, I didn’t do that. I realized that I needed to go to Kensington Ave. and clean up. So I joined that group. I really really didn’t want to pick uptrash but I knew that it was something that needed to be done. It struck me as odd to be picking up trash at first, because it would all jut end up on the streets all over again; But I didn’t realize we would have the change to talk to so many people. THree members of our group even sat down to speak with one man, for almost two hours. I never thought that someone could sit down with a total stranger so easily. Well, the trip is almost over, but I’m definitely looking forward to the next time.

Hey Bella,
I am sitting here reading these blogs and just thinking of how proud I am of all of you! God works wonders. I realized that in Africa that we can’t tell God what we want him to think or what we want to do, we just have to go where he leads us, the way he led you to Kensington Ave. When we obey him blindly, in time he’ll make sense of it to us! It’s a good lesson to keep when you come back home! I’m proud of you that you’ve learned it at such a young age! We’re praying for you back home, and we pray that you keep up your prayer life and your strong spirits in God!
Love,
Christine
