Today we served at day break Lincoln Heights. At first, I did not want to go because I would rather hang out with my friends. But once we got there I had a lot of fun. I was helping at the snow cone booth. I had a lot of fun with that. I met all of the kids, but I did not like how I did not get to have real conversations with them. I guess God wanted me to really serve them :) I loved the Go-Go music; it got me so pumped up. After that, I was really upset because the front of my MOM’S phone got cracked!! I was freaking out, crying and just thinking of how my parents were going to react with this…Probably yell at me, not get me the 1 I was going to get, or even kill me!! After I had a flash back of today’s quiet time (psalm 119:65-72), when I read it the message I got was even when you’re suffering listen to what God wants to tell you to do. I think instead of having a conversation with the kids, I had one with another volunteer and we talked about the phone thing and we kind of made a relationship. She made me feel so much better and I am kind of happy!
