Natalie Bestawrose

Today, May 31, 2007, we traveled to Monguli, or as Sayenda lovingly calls it, “The Bush”. It’s been my third time there and the people are absolutely awe-inspiring. The children really touched me this time around. At one of our visits, I found this 4-5 year old girl wearing a red striped dress. Every time I looked over at her, she gave me a sheepish smile so wide that I could see her beautiful crooked teeth. When the visitation was over, I bent down to give her a hug. She tied her arms around my neck, squeezed, and wouldn’t let go. I have never felt such love from someone who was a complete stranger to me. She, like many other children we encountered along the way followed us from house to house to taste some more from the Word of God. The children of Monguli were so hunger for God and His Word that they didn’t want to leave us even when we jumped back into the bus. God truly loves the Zambian people and I know that he will feed his children.Group
