Africa introduced me to God.  I never knew about His character and love until I went there and saw the children of  Zambia.  We were warned that there would be alot of kids.  But nothing can prepare you for the abundance of children that are everywhere.  We came prepared with gifts and candy and ran out half way through our trip. When they saw us, they ran towards us only needing affection.  If you hugged or picked up one child, they all wanted that same love.  And when we gave them a sweet or a gift, they all wanted more.  Though we did not have enough, I wanted to give all that I had to these children. Needless to say, almost everyone on our trip wanted to adopt the kids and bring them home with us. 
 
At that moment, I learned of God's character.  Like those children, all we want is affection and love from our creator.  Like our desire to give those children everything we have just to see them smile and make them happy, I imagined how God gives us so much to be happy and to see us smile, to protect us sometimes from ourselves.
